Race report ADAC Digital Cup 2024 Event 2 Nürburgring GP 24.02.2024

On February 24th, races 4-6 of the ADAC Digital Cup 2024 took place at the Grand Prix circuit of the Nürburgring.

The traditional racing track in the Eifel region is once again a key fixture in this year's racing calendar.

Race 1 Sprint over 30 Minutes

After the qualifying session, our Lotus Evora with starting number 106 starts from second place in the race, while the Audi TT Cup with number 406 starts from the 24th position out of a total of 31 starting places. A turbulent initial phase propels our Audi driver Reinhard Brandt to the interim lead of the CUP4 classification, while Jakob Fischer keeps the Lotus at the top of the CUP1. After a contact-rich incident involving both MSC pilots, the Lotus Evora finishes in 3rd place (2nd in class) and the Audi TT finishes in 21st place (4th in class).

Race 2 Sprint over 30 Minutes

In the second race, our qualifying specialist Jakob starts from pole position. Celine secures the TT's starting position in 23rd place, corresponding to 4th place in class. Early in the race, the Lotus Evora with starting number 106 has to relinquish the lead and ultimately finishes in 4th place (3rd in class). The Audi No. 406 remains stable in 24th place (4th in class).

Race 3 Team race over 60 Minutes

In the 60-minute team race, time trial specialist Jakob secures the Evora GTC in 2nd place (1st in class), while Reinhard starts from 27th place (6th in class). After eventful 60 minutes at the Nürburgring, the second Lotus pilot from MSC der Polizei Braunschweig, Michael Rickerts, brings his vehicle to 6th place overall (4th in class).

In the championship standings, Team 1 holds 2nd place in the CUP 1 standings with their Lotus Evora GTC, earning 132 championship points.
Team 2 occupies 8th place in the CUP 4 standings with the Audi TT Cup, accruing 102 championship points.
