KT-OBD Diagnostic tool
The Komotec Diagnostic Device is a affordable tool to allow fault code read and clear for the majority of Elise, Exige and Evora from 2006-2022 and covers Engine (EOBD and spanner fault codes), ABS, Automatic transmission, Airbag and TPMS (more are being added as we continue to test). The Komotec diagnostic tool is the only aftermarket tool that can read and clear ABS/ESP and airbag faults in addition to engine-related data, something otherwise only possible with the Lotus tester!Simply plug into the car's OBD connector, connect via Wi-fi to your smart phone, then connect to your car's ECUs. KT-Revmatch Device For Exige V6 And EvoraCalibrated rev match device for the Lotus Exige V6 and Evora.A dedicated device for the Lotus V6 Exige and Evora platform, featuring a built-in lookup table that compares engine speed and vehicle speed to calculate the current gear position. When a predetermined brake activation and clutch position are detected, the device sends the correct engine speed request to the ECU, raising the engine speed to match the next lower gear. Includes an OBD port cover stating "DO NOT FLASH".Connecting the DeviceTo turn the device on or off, simply plug it into the OBD connector to activate it and remove it to deactivate it.LED Indicators Inside the DeviceWhen the device is plugged into the OBD connector with the ignition off, the LED inside will turn blue. If the ignition is not turned on, the LED will turn off after about one minute (sleep mode).When the ignition is turned on and the device communicates with the ECU, the LED will turn green.When the ignition is turned off while the device is still connected to the ECU, the connection is lost, and the LED will turn red (lost communication). After one minute of the engine being turned off, the device enters sleep mode.We advise removing the device when not in use.Fitment RequirementsTo enable functionality, we must apply an update to the engine ECU via the OBD connector. This does not affect the engine calibration files.The device will only work on Lotus T6e ECUs installed in V6-engined cars that have received the necessary update (it will NOT work on other cars unless this update has been installed).IMPORTANT: Do not allow any further updates to the engine ECU without contacting us first, as this may remove our update. The device will be supplied with a new red OBD port cover embossed with "DO NOT FLASH".How It WorksWhen the brake and clutch are engaged in any gear from 6 down to 2, the device will execute a rev match for the next lower gear.This is not a simple throttle blip—it is a precise rev match.The device will only rev match a single gear at a time. A clear "clutch pedal released" signal is required before the process can start again for the next gear down.If the clutch and brake are pressed while shifting up a gear, the device will still attempt a rev match. ECUmaster EMU Pro16 ECU for all Exige V6 and EvoraKomo-Tec offers you the optimal upgrade for your performance-enhanced Lotus Exige V6/Evora: individual tuning, more power, more torque and a significantly better response behavior with maximum suitability for everyday use.The new engine control unit from ECUmaster, the EMU Pro16 ECU, has specifications at the absolute top level and clearly surpasses the functions of the proven ECU "EMU Black". Many features and fully programmable, the new ECU is a class-leading, standalone engine management system designed to operate the most advanced and complex engines on the market.The EMU Pro16 ECU controls the fuel supply, the ignition angle, all engine-related parameters and also all other auxiliary systems such as the electronic throttle valve, the variable camshaft adjustment, variable fuel and water pump of the Exige 410/430 models, the Lotus-specific air conditioning control, as well as traction and DPM stability control programs, communication with the ABS/ESP system of the Lotus models is fully retained (an individual firmware version from Komo-Tec enables this function) and full OBD functionality is guaranteed. So all the functions of your Lotus are preserved.In contrast to the previously used Emu Black, the EMU Pro16 can control all 4 camshafts and works with two broadband lambda sensors. This guarantees a perfect mixture preparation and allows a clear optimization of the tuning as well as the reduction of the combustion temperatures and thus the knocking tendency through the control of the exhaust camshafts.For use with Lotus Exige V6 and Evora models, an adapter to the standard wiring harness is required, which we supply.The control unit can communicate with two CANBUS as well as with all external CAN protocol devices including ABS and display systems and thus enables the perfect integration of external systems. The solid construction meets IP65 housing standards, so that the ECU can also be used in the Lotus and under difficult operating conditions.The integrated data logging offers extensive diagnostic and optimization functions. The comprehensive and feature-rich software allows full control of the ECU and configuration of a variety of engine functions. With the skills and experience of Komo-Tec, we can therefore programm you an individual setup on our dyno and adjust various components. Functions such as "double-declutching" can also be programmed during the shifting process (manual transmission).The use of a "paddleshift" system in connection with sequential transmission is possible as a stand-alone system, the use of a GCU (gearbox control unit) is therefore no longer necessary.This ECU has also been successfully introduced in the Lotus Cup Europe and has been mandatory in endurance tests since 2022 and as a basic device for all Exige Cups since 2023.
