Aside from not producing much light, the original headlights as used on the Elise S1 have another problem: they are no longer available!

We looked at several solutions ranging from different types of halogen reflectors to fully customized solutions. However, the biggest problem is finding something that produces a correct light pattern and has the right approvals. All the right size headlights were motorcycle approved (E-mark) which is not legal for cars in most countries. These headlights are correctly E marked (E24/E6) and DOT/SAE marked and they even emit a correct light pattern! With this kit you can finally convert and upgrade the headlights of the S1, replace the old H4 bulbs and at the same time stay legal on the road! The kit comes with rustproof, powder-coated brackets for mounting. We supply the LHD variant. (RHD on specific customer request - no stock item).

Technical data: low beam (1,950 lumens), high beam (2,600 lumens), position lights (200 lumens), polycarbonate lens, IP67.

An approval for street use can be made in our house by german TÜV §19.2 individual approval (costs carried by the buyer).

Please note that a conversion with LED headlights will result in an exclusion for a possibly planned vintage car inspection according to german §23 StVZO, since only "contemporary components" may be used for this!
