Contrary to the most other Tuners Method to generate an additional output simply by increased charge pressure, Komo-Tec sets a performance increase by optimizing the conditions of the overall system while minimizing the mechanical and thermal load. After extensive calculations, CFD flow simulations, various prototypes and numerous hours on the dyno, we were able to present stable 500 hp now.
The biggest difference to our previous EX-kits is the use of a new Harrop TVS1900-Supercharger. This Supercharger is able to generate an output of more than 500Nm of torque already at around 4,000 rpm by only 0.8 bar of charging-pressure!
The highly efficient, water-cooled charge air cooling system still known from our EX460-Upgrade has been adapted and further optimized for the larger Supercharger. Best to the new intake airflow (airbox, air mass meter, throttle valve), as well as the chargecooling-system and even the airflow distribution to all intake ports and thus the reduction of the thermal load on the components could be ensured. The high-performance heat-exchanger is installed in the vehicle's front and integrated into its own water circuit to cool the water in the charge air cooler (in the intake manifold of the engine). An electric water pump adopts the separate water circulation.
To further reduce the mechanical stress and the resistance, we use forged pistons and con-rods specially made for Komo-Tec for our kit.
