Exhaust valve control by remote control
In the latest Lotus models, the exhaust-valve is controlled by the ECU only and, depending on the model and driving mode, only opens from around 4,500-5,000 rpm in order to meet noise emission standards. Furthermore, the valve is opened to protect the engine at high loads and to reduce the exhaust back pressure.
Our module for a separate, electronic valve control now works either completely independently of the control unit and enables you to keep the valve permanently open or permanently closed! Or there is a mode to pick up the factory functions exactly. This control is carried out by remote control hand transmitter.
Remote control functions:
- Open: Flap permanently open
- Default: Flap control series
- Close: Close permanently
Note: When using the series rear silencer, we expressly advise against driving at full load with the valve closed due to the pipe diameter in order to prevent engine damage!
