KOMO-TEC Performance Phase EX460 V2 for Lotus Exige V6
The KOMO-TEC EX460 is one of our most successful performance phases for the Lotus Exige V6, with more than 150 realized conversions. The overall package, continuously developed over many years, offers a particularly attractive ratio of performance, drivability, thermal stability, and price.
The current version is delivered with the further developed EX460 V2 Software. It combines the revision of the Eaton supercharger with a highly efficient water-to-air intercooler system, an optimized intake, a powerful exhaust system, and an engine control system precisely tuned to it.
Performance Data
| Version | Power | Torque |
|---|---|---|
| EX460 V2 Manual Vehicle | about 455 hp | about 480 Nm |
| EX460 V2 IPS | approx. 448 hp | approx. 470 Nm |
| Production vehicle | approx. 350 hp | approx. 400 Nm |
In the manual vehicle, this corresponds to an increase of around 105 hp and 80 Nm compared to the standard output. The actual values achieved may vary slightly depending on vehicle condition, fuel, environmental conditions, and test bench.
Highly efficient water-air intercooling
The main difference to the EX430 is the fully integrated water-air intercooling system. The standard intake manifold is replaced by a newly developed component made of aluminum. This houses the compressor, the fuel rail, and the integrated intercooler network.
A separate cooling circuit with an electric water pump system, aluminum tank, and front-mounted high-performance heat exchanger dissipates the absorbed heat from the charge air. This allows the intake air temperatures to be reduced by about 35 °C under comparable conditions.
The used cooler network causes a pressure loss of only about 0.01 bar at 0.6 bar boost pressure. At the same time, the system remains within the standard installation space and is hardly visible from the outside.
The additional weight of the complete intercooling system, including the heat exchanger, is only about 4.6 kg without coolant.
Revised Eaton compressor
The standard Eaton compressor is optimized internally and combined with a modified pulley. This makes the compressor work more efficiently, especially in the mid-speed range.
The result is an early and significantly increased torque, without the power delivery being exclusively shifted to the upper RPM range. The reduced charge air temperature simultaneously supports a thermally more stable operation under high load.
EX460 V2 Software
The current V2 software has been continuously developed based on the experiences from more than 150 EX460 conversions.
The optimization of the standard engine control unit includes among other things:
Ignition maps
Injection maps
Camshaft phase adjustment
Rev limiter
Throttle valve map
Adjustment to the revised compressor unit
Tuning for the water-air intercooler system
Adjustment to intake and exhaust system
Temperature-dependent correction functions
The individual tuning is carried out after installation on our dynamometer.
Standard and Switzerland version
The EX460 V2 is available in different versions:
Standard version
KOMO-TEC Carbon Airbox System
K&N Sport air filter
Performance-oriented intake
Switzerland version
For vehicles in Switzerland, we offer a separate variant with an airbox that visually resembles the series version.
The KOMO-TEC Carbon Airbox System is not included in the Switzerland version and is replaced by the designated intake solution. Please select the variant that matches the vehicle and registration country when ordering.

A permanently suitable fuel quality is a prerequisite for the intended performance and reliable operation.
Important approval note
Motorsport kit – without general road approval.
The current status of a possible registration must be checked before ordering based on vehicle model, year of manufacture, emission standard, and country of registration. The registration documents for vehicles with emission standard 36W0 are under revision. A solution for vehicles with Euro 6d-TEMP is in preparation; a binding completion date cannot currently be provided.
A registration may take place on-site through individual acceptance depending on the vehicle and the current test stand. The costs incurred as a result are not included in the price of the service phase and are to be borne by the vehicle owner.
The performance increase may change the registered CO₂ value. Since this can serve as the basis for calculating the vehicle tax, higher ongoing fees may be possible.
