KOMO-TEC 4-in-1 stainless steel header with HJS sports catalytic converter for Lotus Elise 2ZR
The KOMO-TEC header and catalytic converter system was specifically developed for the Lotus Elise with the supercharged Toyota 2ZR engine. It combines a flow-optimized 4-in-1 stainless steel header with a high-quality HJS-200-cpsi sports catalytic converter.
All Lotus Elise models with the 2ZR engine come standard with a supercharger. Therefore, the system is specifically tuned to the requirements of the supercharged engine and the associated higher exhaust volumes and temperatures.
Developed on the dynamometer
The development and tuning of the system were carried out on the dynamometer. The goal was to reduce the exhaust back pressure compared to the standard exhaust system while simultaneously improving the torque and power curve.
The optimized exhaust routing supports a more direct response behavior and a harmonious power delivery across the entire usable RPM range. Especially in performance-enhanced vehicles, the system creates an important foundation for a more efficient gas exchange.
Flow-optimized 4-in-1 header
The header is made from high-quality stainless steel and features a flow-optimized 4-in-1 pipe layout.
The matched pipe lengths control the exhaust flows from the individual cylinders. Compared to the small-sized stock header, flow losses are reduced and exhaust back pressure is decreased.
This allows the engine to expel exhaust gases more efficiently, which is particularly advantageous at higher RPMs and increased boost pressure.
High-quality HJS sports catalytic converter
The system is combined with a high-quality HJS-200-cpsi sports catalytic converter. This offers a high exhaust throughput while simultaneously providing reliable exhaust aftertreatment.
The HJS sports catalytic converter used is technically suitable for applications up to the Euro 5 emission standard. However, actual compliance with the emission standard and possible approval depend on the complete vehicle build, engine software, and specific vehicle configuration.

Required connection screws
Gaskets are not included in the delivery. The required gaskets must be ordered separately or replaced with suitable new parts during installation.
Sports muffler required
The manifold and catalytic converter system is exclusively intended for use with a suitable sports muffler.
When using a KOMO-TEC sports muffler, the system is matched to the corresponding connection dimensions. For mufflers from other manufacturers, modifications to pipe routing, flange, or connection may be necessary.
The compatibility of the existing muffler must therefore be checked before ordering.
Important installation note
The installation concerns the exhaust system and must be carried out by a qualified specialist company. Before installation, all sealing surfaces, fastening points, lambda sensors, and adjacent components must be checked.
For the installation, suitable new seals must be used. After installation, the exhaust system must be checked for freedom from tension, adequate clearances, tightness, and the correct position of the lambda sensors.
Important approval notice
The technical Euro-5 capability of the HJS sports catalytic converter alone does not constitute road approval for the complete exhaust system or the respective vehicle.
The admissibility and registration capability must be checked before ordering based on vehicle model, emission standard, engine software, and country of approval.
