KOMO-TEC Revmatch System for Lotus Exige V6 and Evora
The KOMO-TEC Revmatch System was specifically developed for the Lotus Exige V6 and Evora with T6e engine control unit. It assists the driver when downshifting by precisely adjusting the engine speed to the next lower gear.
Unlike a simple throttle blip, the system calculates the required connection RPM based on engine speed and vehicle speed. This reduces load changes during engagement and supports quick, harmonious shifting on the racetrack.
Precise RPM adjustment
The Revmatch system has an integrated lookup table that compares engine speed and vehicle speed to determine the currently engaged gear.
When the system detects the specified operation of the brake and clutch, it sends the appropriate RPM request to the engine control unit. The engine speed is then specifically adjusted to the next lower gear.
Functionality
Active during shifting from sixth to second gear
Revmatch for each next lower gear
Precise RPM adjustment instead of a simple throttle blip
Activation when simultaneously pressing the brake and clutch
Revmatch can only be reactivated after fully releasing the clutch pedal
Calculation based on engine speed and vehicle speed
When both the brake and clutch are pressed, the system attempts to adjust the RPM even during an upshift. This operation should be avoided as it can increase wear on the drivetrain.
Simple activation via the OBD port
The Revmatch device is plugged directly into the vehicle's OBD port:
Plug in device: Revmatch system activated
Remove device: Revmatch system deactivated
We recommend removing the device from the OBD port when not in use.
LED status indicator
An integrated LED indicates the current operating status:
Blue: device is connected to the OBD port with the ignition off
Green: ignition is on and communication with the engine control unit has been established
Red: connection to the engine control unit was disconnected after turning off the ignition
LED off: device enters sleep mode after about one minute
Required ECU software module
For commissioning, a special software module must be transferred to the Lotus T6e engine control unit once. The engine control unit must be sent to us before first use.
The additional software module provides the required rev matching function but does not alter the existing calibration files of the engine maps.
The rev match device only works with a compatible Lotus T6e engine control unit on which the required software module has been installed.
Important note on software updates
After installing the rev match software module, no further updates or programming operations on the engine control unit may be performed without contacting us first.
Reflashing the engine control unit may overwrite or delete the required rev match software module.
Therefore, the delivery includes a red OBD connector cover labeled "DO NOT FLASH".
Suitable for
Lotus Exige V6 with compatible T6e engine control unit
Lotus Evora with compatible T6e engine control unit
Vehicles with standard transmission and axle ratios
For vehicles with modified gear ratios or a different axle ratio, compatibility must be confirmed with us before ordering.
The exact suitability must be checked based on vehicle model, year of manufacture, transmission version, and software version of the engine control unit.
Advantages
Precise RPM adjustment when downshifting
Not just a simple throttle blip, but calculated rev matching
Smoother load changes when engaging
Support for faster and more harmonious shifting processes
Calculation of the engaged gear based on RPM and speed
Specifically developed for Lotus Exige V6 and Evora
Simple activation via the OBD port
Integrated LED status indicator
Revmatch software module without changing the engine maps
Red OBD cover labeled "DO NOT FLASH"
Scope of delivery
1 × KOMO-TEC Revmatch device
1 × red OBD connector cover labeled "DO NOT FLASH"
Important usage note
The KOMO-TEC Revmatch system is intended solely as a driving aid for track days and use on closed circuits. Use in public road traffic is not permitted.
The system does not relieve the driver of the responsibility for the correct operation of the clutch, brake, and transmission. Improper shifting or mechanical over-revving can still lead to increased wear or damage to the engine and drivetrain.
