KOMO-TEC 4-in-1 stainless steel header with HJS sports catalyst for Lotus 2ZZ models
The KOMO-TEC header and catalyst system was specifically developed for Lotus models with Toyota 2ZZ supercharged engine. It is particularly suitable for the Lotus Elise SC, Exige S, and the 2-Eleven as well as for vehicles with our 2ZZ supercharger kit.
The system can also be used on the 2ZZ naturally aspirated engines of the Lotus Elise R, Exige, and the 2-Eleven.
Developed on the dynamometer
The development and tuning of the entire system were carried out on the dynamometer. The goal was to reduce exhaust back pressure and improve the torque curve, especially in the lower and mid RPM range.
In the 2ZZ naturally aspirated engines, this mainly affects the area below the switch to the large camshaft profile. At the same time, the optimized exhaust routing improves power delivery at high RPMs.
In the supercharged 2ZZ engines, the lower exhaust back pressure supports a more efficient power delivery and reduces the thermal load on the exhaust side.
4-in-1 stainless steel header
The header is made from high-quality stainless steel and features a flow-optimized 4-in-1 pipe layout.
The tuned pipe lengths improve the merging of the exhaust flows and reduce unfavorable flow losses compared to the stock header. This results in a more direct response and a more harmonious power delivery across the entire usable RPM range.
High-quality HJS sports catalytic converter
The system is combined with a high-quality HJS 200 cpsi sports catalytic converter. The catalyst offers a high exhaust throughput while providing reliable exhaust aftertreatment.
The HJS sports catalytic converter used is technically suitable for applications up to the Euro 5 emission standard. However, actual compliance with the respective emission standard and any possible approval depend on the complete vehicle configuration, engine tuning, and specific vehicle design.
Lower weight
Compared to the stock header and catalytic converter system, the KOMO-TEC version reduces weight:

The system is exclusively intended for vehicles with Toyota 2ZZ engine. It is not suitable for models with 1ZZ, 1ZR, or 2ZR engines.

Sports muffler required
The header and catalytic converter system is exclusively intended for use with a suitable sports muffler.
When using a KOMO-TEC sports muffler, the system is tailored to the corresponding connection dimensions. For mufflers from other manufacturers, modifications to pipe routing, flange, or connection may be necessary.
The compatibility of the existing muffler should therefore be checked before ordering.
Important installation note
The installation concerns the exhaust system and must be carried out by a qualified specialist. Before installation, all sealing surfaces, mounting points, lambda sensors, and adjacent components must be checked.
After installation, the exhaust system must be checked for tension-free operation, sufficient clearances, tightness, and the correct position of the lambda sensors.
Important approval note
The technical Euro-5 capability of the HJS sports catalytic converter does not, by itself, constitute road approval for the complete exhaust system or the respective vehicle.
The permissibility and registration capability must be checked before ordering based on vehicle model, emission standard, engine software, and country of approval.
