KOMO-TEC steel brace for 4-point belts
The KOMO-TEC brace made of high-strength steel allows for the proper attachment of 4-point belts with loop attachment. It is mounted on the existing threaded bushings of the standard roll bar and is designed for sportily used Lotus Elise and Exige models.
The required mounting screws are included.
Attachment to existing threaded bushings
The brace uses the already existing threaded bushings in the roll bar. This firmly connects it to the vehicle structure and creates a defined attachment point for the shoulder belts.
4-point belts with loops can be used, which are routed around the brace and attached according to the specifications of the belt manufacturer.
Two versions available
Depending on the width of the roll bar mounted in the vehicle, the belt brace is available in two lengths:
Short version: approx. 110 cm
Long version: approx. 120 cm
The required variant must be determined before ordering based on the actually installed roll bar.
Important note regarding the wide roll bar
Lotus has installed a different roll bar that is about 10 cm wider in a small number of vehicles. In these vehicles, the standard belt brace cannot be used as it is too short.
For this version, the wider or longer belt brace must be ordered. The visible differences in the area of the rear wall and the roll bar are shown in the product images.
Please check the version of the roll bar before ordering. In case of unclear assignment, we recommend measuring the width and contacting us in advance.
Note on the original speakers
With the regular installation of the belt brace, the standard speakers behind the seats are omitted.
If the original speakers are to be retained, an optional adapter system is available:

TÜV registration
A TÜV registration can be carried out after proper installation and technical inspection in our house.
The registration capability depends on the vehicle, the design of the roll bar, the seats used, the belt system, and other installed components. The belt brace alone does not constitute a general approval of the belt system used.
Important assembly and safety notice
The belt brace and safety belts are safety-relevant components. The assembly may only be carried out by a qualified specialist company.
Belt guidance, wrapping, angles, and fastening must comply with the specifications of the belt manufacturer. Before use, all fastening points, screw connections, and the freedom of movement of the belts must be checked.
Note on shipping weight
The material weight of the belt brace is approximately 2.5 kg. The weight calculated for shipping may correspond to the higher volumetric weight due to the dimensions.
