KOMO-TEC Performance Phase EX460 V2 for Lotus Exige V6

The KOMO-TEC performance phase EX430 was developed for the Lotus Exige S V6, Sport 350 as well as Sport and Cup 380. The coordinated overall package combines a powerful carbon airbox, an optimized compressor ratio, a flow-optimized exhaust system, and software tailored for the standard engine control unit.

With up to approx. 427 HP and 465 Nm, the EX430 offers a particularly attractive price-performance ratio and a significantly improved power delivery across the entire usable RPM range.

Performance Data

VersionPowerTorque
EX430 manual vehicleapprox. 427 HPapprox. 465 Nm
EX430 IPSabout 455 hpabout 480 Nm
Series Exige S V6 / Sport 350approx. 350 hpapprox. 400 Nm
Series Sport 380 / Cup 380approx. 380 HPapprox. 410 Nm

Compared to the Exige S V6 and Sport 350, this represents an increase of around 75 hp and 65 Nm for the manual vehicle. For the Sport 380 and Cup 380, the increase is around 47 hp and 55 Nm.

The actual performance values achieved may vary slightly depending on vehicle condition, fuel quality, environmental conditions, and test bench.

Further development of the EX410

The EX430 builds on our proven performance phase EX410. In addition to the components already used there, the vehicle receives an optimized carbon airbox system with cold air intake as well as specially tuned EX430 software.

Compared to the EX410, this combination allows for an additional power increase of about 18 hp and around 12 Nm.

KOMO-TEC Carbon Airbox System

The carbon airbox has a significantly larger volume than the standard intake system. In combination with the integrated funnel system, the cold air intake, and a K&N sport air filter with an enlarged filter area, the air throughput is significantly improved.

The intake system reduces flow losses and supplies the compressor more reliably with the required amount of air, especially at high RPMs. At the same time, the carbon design provides a high-quality and sporty look in the engine compartment.

Optimized compressor ratio

In the Exige S V6 and Sport 350, a modified pulley is used. The adjusted compressor ratio increases the boost pressure and, together with the optimized intake, exhaust system, and engine management, forms a coordinated overall system.

In the Sport 380 and Cup 380, due to the differing standard configuration, a modified pulley is not part of the performance phase.

Flow-optimized exhaust system

The Exige S V6 and Sport 350 receive a stainless steel header with optimized pipe lengths and a high-quality 200-cpsi sports catalyst from HJS.

For the Sport 380 and Cup 380, a model-specific version with a downpipe in optimized diameter and integrated sports catalyst is used.

The reduced flow resistances improve exhaust throughput and support power and torque development.

EX430 Software

The software of the standard engine control unit is precisely tuned to the components of the performance phase EX430.

The optimization includes among other things:

  • Ignition maps

  • Injection maps

  • Camshaft phase adjustment

  • Adjustment to the optimized intake

  • Adjustment to the modified compressor ratio

  • Adjustment to the model-specific exhaust system

  • Temperature-dependent correction functions

After installation, the relevant engine parameters are checked on the dynamometer.

Required fuel quality

For the EX460 V2, fuel with at least 98 RON is required. Fuel with a lower octane rating must not be used.

The permanently suitable fuel quality is an essential requirement for the intended performance and reliable engine operation.

Important approval note

Motorsport kit – without general road approval.

Any possible TÜV registration must be checked before ordering based on vehicle model, year of manufacture, emission standard, and country of registration. Depending on the vehicle and the current test bench, a paid individual acceptance may be required.

The performance increase may change the registered CO₂ value. Since this can serve as the basis for calculating the vehicle tax, higher ongoing fees may be possible.
