KOMO-TEC stainless steel valve rear silencer for Exige S V6 and Evora S
The high-quality KOMO-TEC valve rear silencer was specifically developed for the Lotus Exige S V6 and the Lotus Evora S. With its 70 mm pipe diameter, it combines a powerful, sporty sound with optimal performance delivery and high thermal load capacity.
An important development goal was a clearly audible sound difference between the open and closed exhaust valve. After extensive dyno testing and several development stages, a system was created that meets both requirements: a more subdued sound profile with the valve closed and a particularly prominent motorsport sound with the valve open.
Unlike the stock system, there is no performance-reducing exhaust back pressure with the valve closed. This ensures that engine power is fully retained in both valve positions. At the same time, thermal overload due to increased exhaust back pressure is counteracted.
The rear silencer was developed and tuned on the dyno and extensively tested under real track conditions. With a noise level of about 100 dB, the system offers a particularly powerful and emotional sound.
The exchange is made against the standard exhaust silencer. The control via the original control switch remains fully intact.
