Goodridge stainless steel brake line kit for Lotus Elise and Exige
The four-part Goodridge stainless steel brake line kit replaces the standard brake hoses of selected Lotus Elise and Exige models. It includes two lines each for the front and rear axles and is mounted at the standard connection points.
The PTFE inner hose with stainless steel braid reduces expansion under brake pressure. This improves pedal feel, makes the pressure point more precise, and allows for better modulation of braking force.
Advantages
More direct response of the braking system
More precise and consistent pressure point
Improved controllability
Low expansion under brake pressure
High pressure, abrasion, and corrosion resistance
Good resistance to brake fluid
Suitable for sporty road use and track days
Pressure-tested version
The steel braided lines do not increase the mechanical braking performance of brake calipers or brake discs, but mainly improve pressure transmission and pedal feel.
Suitable for
Selected Lotus Elise models
Selected Lotus Exige models
Vehicles with standard or compatible braking systems
The exact compatibility must be checked based on vehicle model, year of manufacture, brake calipers, and existing braking system. Vehicles with AP-308 mm front axle braking system, four-piston brake calipers, Cup braking system, or V6 engine may require a different line configuration.
Scope of delivery
2 × steel braided brake lines for the front axle
2 × steel braided brake lines for the rear axle
Required sealing rings and mounting parts according to the configuration
Approval documents according to the product variant
Brake fluid is not included in the scope of delivery.
Important notes
The approval or ABE depends on the product variant, the connections, and the vehicle assignment. Before installation, it must be checked whether the documents cover the respective vehicle.
Brake lines are safety-relevant components and may only be installed by a qualified specialist. They must be installed without tension, kinks, or abrasion. After installation, the braking system must be properly filled, bled, and checked for leaks.
