Exhaust flap control via remote control for Lotus
The electronic flap control allows the exhaust flap to be permanently opened or closed independently of the engine control. The operation is done via a Smartlink remote control transmitter.
In many Lotus models, the engine control system automatically actuates the exhaust flap. Depending on the model and driving mode, it only opens at around 4,500 to 5,000 RPM. Under high load, opening also serves to reduce exhaust back pressure.
Motorsport part not approved for road use. Not permitted under the StVO/StVZO.

Important application note
When using the stock muffler, driving under full load with the exhaust flap permanently closed is not permitted. The increased exhaust back pressure can lead to engine damage.
With the corresponding Komo-Tec flap end muffler, the pipe diameters are identical when the flap is open and closed. Use with the flap closed is also possible under full load with this version.
Important installation note
The installation must be carried out professionally. After installation, the secure fastening, connections, and complete function of the flap actuation must be checked.
