KOMO-TEC sport camshafts for Lotus Exige and Evora V6
The KOMO-TEC sport camshafts have been specifically developed for performance-optimized Lotus Exige and Evora with V6 supercharged engine. The modified timing and increased valve lift improve cylinder filling and allow for an additional increase in power and torque.
The improvement is particularly noticeable in the upper RPM range. This makes the camshafts especially suitable for high-performance engine setups where a higher air throughput at high RPMs is required.
The sport camshafts are also used in our high-performance EX550+ engine variants.
Newly manufactured camshafts from blanks
The KOMO-TEC sport camshafts are completely made from new blanks. They are not re-ground or reworked series camshafts.
A replacement procedure is therefore not required. The standard camshafts do not need to be sent in beforehand or returned after the modification.
Specifically developed for supercharged engines
The camshaft profiles have been specifically tailored to the requirements of supercharged Lotus V6 engines. They support the increased airflow of performance-optimized supercharged engines and improve their power delivery, especially at high RPM.
The sport camshafts are not suitable for V6 naturally aspirated engines.

The exact compatibility must be checked before ordering based on vehicle model, engine variant, supercharger system, valve train, and existing engine modifications.
Recommended combination
For optimal control of the valve train, we recommend using our reinforced valve springs in combination with our titanium valve spring retainers.
This is especially true for engines with increased maximum RPM, high continuous load, as well as for track day and racing use. The reinforced valve springs improve the control of valve movements, while the titanium spring retainers reduce the moving mass of the valve train.
Scope of delivery
1 set of KOMO-TEC sport camshafts for Lotus V6 supercharged engines
Reinforced valve springs and titanium valve spring retainers are not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately.
Required engine tuning
The modified timing and valve lifts require an engine management system tailored to the camshafts and the complete engine setup.
Ignition maps, injection maps, and camshaft phase adjustment must be properly adjusted. The actual achievable power increase depends, among other things, on the supercharger, boost pressure, intake, exhaust system, fuel supply, and engine management.
The camshafts alone do not generate a predetermined power increase.
Important installation note
The installation concerns the complete valve train and may only be carried out by a qualified engine specialist.
Before commissioning, the following points must be checked, among others:
Timing
Valve clearance
Installation height and suitability of the valve springs
Remaining spring travel to the block position
Distance between spring plate and valve stem seal
Clearance between valves and pistons
Function of the camshaft adjustment
Mechanical clearance of the entire valve train
The suitability of the existing valve springs and spring plates must be checked before installation. For performance-oriented applications, we explicitly recommend our reinforced valve springs and titanium valve spring plates.
