AiM MX2E Plug-and-Play Display Kit for Lotus Elise and Exige
The AiM MX2E replaces the standard instrument cluster with a modern 6-inch TFT display with significantly expanded functionality. It was specifically developed for Lotus Elise and Exige from model years 2011 to 2019 and combines the displays required for road use with extensive features for track days and racing events.
The display comes with a customized instrument cover that integrates four control buttons and the GPS module. The connection is made directly via the vehicle's OBD interface.
Modern display for road and track
The AiM MX2E takes over the essential functions of the standard instrument cluster. These include among others:
Speed
Engine RPM
Coolant temperature
Fuel level
Total mileage
Daily mileage
Turn signal
Low beam and high beam
Check engine light
Other vehicle-specific status indicators
Ten freely usable shift LEDs assist the driver in choosing the optimal shift point. Six additional LEDs display warnings and status information. Two separate LEDs serve as turn signal indicators.
Integrated GPS lap timing
The integrated GPS module allows for precise recording and storage of lap times. The track database includes about 4,000 racetracks worldwide and is continuously expanded by AiM.
Recorded lap times can be displayed directly on the screen as a summary. For detailed analysis, the stored data can be transferred to a PC via the integrated Wi-Fi connection.
The internal memory has a capacity of 4 GB.
Note on data recording
The MX2E version records track-related lap times. A complete recording of the engine data available from the vehicle is not provided in the basic version.
Compared to other AiM displays, this variant is limited to a maximum of four additional measurement channels. These can be connected via the optionally available 4-channel expansion.

Four-channel expansion
The optional expansion provides four additional analog inputs with a signal range of 0 to 5 volts. These can be used, for example, for additional pressure or temperature sensors.
Lambda controller
A compatible lambda controller is available upon request and for an additional charge.
Rearview camera
The system can optionally be supplemented with a compatible rearview camera.
All expansions are available separately and are not part of the standard delivery.
One-time transfer of the odometer reading
The documented odometer reading of the vehicle can be transferred once to the new display on-site.
The transfer must be coordinated before commissioning and the current odometer reading must be documented in a traceable manner.

Important installation note
The installation concerns the central instrument cluster and the vehicle electronics. Installation, configuration, and functional testing must be carried out by a qualified specialist.
After installation, all displays, warning lights, controls, and vehicle-specific functions must be checked.
TÜV registration
A registration can be done via individual acceptance according to § 19 Abs. 2 StVZO. The costs of the acceptance are not included in the product price and are to be borne by the buyer.
