Drexler Lamella Limited Slip Differential for Lotus
More engine power only leads to better performance when the available torque is reliably transferred to the road. The Drexler Lamella Limited Slip Differential improves the power distribution between the driven wheels, resulting in more traction, higher driving stability, and more precise handling.
Especially when accelerating out of corners, the limited slip differential reduces one-sided wheel slip. The available drive torque can be utilized more effectively – a noticeable advantage in high-performance vehicles, sporty driving, and on the racetrack.
Motorsport technology from Drexler Automotive
Drexler Automotive is one of the internationally leading manufacturers of high-performance limited slip differentials. The systems developed and manufactured in Germany are used in both professional motorsport and high-performance road vehicles.
Precise manufacturing, high-quality materials, and a robust construction make the Drexler limited slip differential a reliable solution for demanding Lotus vehicles.
Controlled power distribution through lamella technology
In contrast to an open standard differential, the Drexler limited slip differential works with specially tuned friction plates. If a speed difference occurs between the drive wheels, the differential builds up a defined locking effect and distributes the drive torque more controlled to both wheels.
This reduces the spinning of the inner wheel in the curve. The vehicle accelerates more stably out of corners and can be controlled more precisely, especially at the limit.
Special KOMO-TEC tuning for Lotus V6
The version for Lotus Exige V6, Evora, and 3-Eleven was specifically tuned in close collaboration with KOMO-TEC to meet the dynamic driving requirements of these models.
The individual design takes into account vehicle weight, engine torque, mid-engine concept, and the sporty purpose of use. This creates a harmonious interplay of traction, steering response, and driving stability – both on the road and on the racetrack.
This is not a universal standard tuning, but a KOMO-TEC configuration specifically developed for the Lotus V6 models.
Individually adjustable locking effect
Depending on the vehicle, power, and purpose of use, the characteristics of the plate locking differential can be individually adjusted. This allows for different configurations:
Sporty street use
Track days
Vehicles with increased torque
Semi-slick and slick tires
Consistent racetrack use
The appropriate tuning should be determined before ordering based on the vehicle setup and the desired area of use.
Suitable for
Lotus Exige V6
Lotus Evora
Lotus 3-Eleven
Other Lotus models depending on transmission and vehicle configuration
The exact compatibility must be checked before ordering based on vehicle model, year of manufacture, engine type, and transmission configuration.

KOMO-TEC recommendation
The Drexler plate limited-slip differential is one of the most effective performance upgrades for high-performance Lotus models. Especially in vehicles with increased torque, it improves drivability and enables more efficient power transfer.
In combination with a tuned chassis, suitable tires, and precise wheel alignment, the differential can unleash its full potential.
Important installation note
For the installation, the gearbox must be removed, opened, and then properly readjusted. The assembly requires comprehensive knowledge in gearbox construction and may only be carried out by a qualified specialist company.
We recommend renewing the differential bearings as part of the installation. The additional material cost is low in relation to the overall assembly scope. Reused or already worn bearings, on the other hand, can later cause a re-removal and significant follow-up costs.
After assembly, all bearing clearances, tooth flank clearances, pre-tensions, and tightening torques must be checked according to the technical specifications. A gearbox oil suitable for the differential must also be used.
