PFC 11 brake pads for the front axle – Lotus Elise and Exige with Ko-Bra2 brake system
The PFC-11 brake pads from Performance Friction were developed for demanding track days, sprint, and mid-distance races. They combine a defined bite with very good controllability, high temperature stability, and a consistent pedal feel.
This version is only suitable for use with our Ko-Bra2 brake system on the front axle. It is not intended for the standard brake system.
Despite their consistent motorsport design, the pads offer very good cold braking performance. This provides reliable braking action even at low starting temperatures. As the temperature increases, the friction behavior remains stable and well controllable.
PFC 11 compound
The PFC 11 compound has been further developed based on the proven PFC 01. The focus is on improved modulation, controlled pressure build-up, and particularly precise brake force control.
The consistent response behavior facilitates modulation at the corner entry and reduces the tendency to unintentionally lock the wheels. Even when releasing the brake, the transition remains controllable, allowing for precise influence on the vehicle balance.
Temperature range
Recommended operating temperature range: approx. 100 to 700 °C
Very good response behavior at low starting temperatures
High temperature stability during repeated heavy braking
Consistent friction behavior over a wide temperature range
Low fading tendency under high load
Gentle on the brake discs
The PFC 11 compound combines high braking performance with comparatively low wear. The controlled friction characteristics protect the brake discs and support a long lifespan of pads and friction rings.
The noise development is also lower compared to many other pure motorsport pads. However, depending on the brake disc, brake caliper, temperature, and operating conditions, motorsport-typical brake noises cannot be completely excluded.
Suitable for
Track days
Sprint races
Mid-distance races
GT vehicles
Rally vehicles
Historic motorsport
Brand cups
Vehicles with high thermal brake loads
The mentioned application areas describe the suitability of the friction mixture. The vehicle assignment of this pad set is limited to the applications listed below with our Ko-Bra2 brake system.
Fits for
Lotus Elise with our Ko-Bra2 brake system – front axle
Lotus Exige with our Ko-Bra2 brake system – front axle
Only suitable in conjunction with our Ko-Bra2 brake system. Not suitable for the standard brake system.
The exact compatibility depends on the vehicle model, year of manufacture, and configuration of the installed Ko-Bra2 brake system and must be checked before ordering.

1 × set of PFC-11 brake pads for the front axle of our Ko-Bra2 brake system
Important installation and break-in notice
The installation involves a safety-relevant component and must be carried out by a qualified specialist. Brake discs, calipers, and brake fluid must be checked for condition and suitability before installation.
Before installation, it must be ensured that the appropriate Ko-Bra2 brake system is installed.
New brake pads must be bedded in according to the break-in procedure specified by Performance Friction. Only after a properly conducted break-in process may the pads be fully loaded.
Important approval notice
Motorsport part – without street approval!
The PFC-11 brake pads are not approved for use in public road traffic under the scope of the StVO/StVZO. They are intended exclusively for motorsport and use on closed tracks.
