Uniball control arms for the front stabilizer
The Uniball control arms replace the standard control arms with plastic joints between the front stabilizer and the control arms.
By using special, play-free suspension joints, the movements of the wheel suspension are transmitted more directly to the stabilizer. This allows the stabilizer to respond more precisely and to exert its effect in a more controlled manner even with small spring movements.
Play-free stabilizer connection
The standard plastic joints can deform under load and develop additional play with increasing wear. Part of the wheel movement is initially absorbed by the joints before the stabilizer is effectively loaded.
The Uniball control arms reduce this elastic compliance. The connection between the control arm and the stabilizer reacts more immediately and allows for more precise control of the body movements.
Special suspension joints
The Uniball joints used are specifically designed for use in highly loaded suspension components.
Its play-free and torsion-resistant construction offers advantages, especially in sporty driving and on the racetrack:
More direct response of the stabilizer
More precise transmission of suspension movements
Reduced elastic deformation
More consistent stabilizer effect
Improved feedback
More controlled body movements
Support for reduced roll inclination
Higher precision during rapid load changes
For sporty suspensions and track days
The uniball control arms are particularly suitable for vehicles with:
Sport suspension or coilover suspension
Sport stabilizer
Semi-slick or motorsport tires
Regular track day use
Increased demands on suspension precision
The control arms do not increase the actual spring rate of the stabilizer. However, they ensure that its existing effect is transmitted more directly and with less loss to the wheel suspension.
Suitable for
Selected Lotus models with corresponding stabilizer and control arm design
Installation position: front axle
Exact compatibility must be checked before ordering based on vehicle model, year of manufacture, suspension, and design of the front stabilizer.
Scope of delivery
2 × uniball control arms for the front axle
1 × complete vehicle set
Other chassis components and fastening parts are only included if they are explicitly listed as part of the scope of delivery.
Important assembly note
The installation concerns safety-relevant components of the chassis and may only be carried out by a qualified specialist company.
Before assembly, the stabilizer, control arms, mounting points, and all screw connections must be checked for damage and wear. The pendulum struts must be installed without tension at the correct vehicle height.
After installation, clearance, joint angles, and fastenings must be checked over the entire usable spring travel. The uniball joints must be checked for play, secure fit, and damage, especially at regular intervals during track use.
Due to the rigid connection, additional noises and vibrations may occur compared to standard plastic joints.
Important approval note
Motorsport parts – without street approval.
The uniball pendulum struts are not approved for use in public road traffic within the scope of the StVO/StVZO. They are intended exclusively for motorsport purposes and use on closed tracks.
