Larini "Group N" stainless steel rear silencer with exhaust valve for Lotus Elise and Exige
The Larini Group N stainless steel rear silencer was developed for the Lotus Elise and Exige with Toyota four-cylinder engine. It combines a sporty, sonorous exhaust sound with the ability to change the noise level via an exhaust valve.
This version is not suitable for the Lotus Elise Cup.

Variable volume for track day use
Noise restrictions at track days impose special requirements on the exhaust system. The Group N version allows for switching between a louder and a quieter valve position while driving with appropriate control.
With the valve open, the system offers a more pronounced, sonorous sound. With the valve closed, the noise level is reduced.
Vacuum-operated exhaust valve
The exhaust valve is operated via vacuum. A suitable valve control kit is optionally available for targeted control and must be ordered separately if needed.
Noise measurement on the test vehicle
In an orienting stationary noise measurement on the test vehicle, the following values were determined at 6,000 RPM:
Valve closed: approx. 95 dB
Valve open: approx. 100 dB
These values come from a single measurement and are not guaranteed noise values for every vehicle. The actual volume depends, among other things, on the vehicle configuration, the rest of the exhaust system, and the measurement method. Compliance with certain track day noise limits cannot be conclusively derived from this.
