Performance camshaft kit for Toyota 1ZR-FE and 2ZR-FE
The performance camshaft kit consists of two matched camshafts for the intake and exhaust side. It was specifically developed for Toyota 1ZR-FE and 2ZR-FE engines and particularly improves power delivery in the upper RPM range.
Thanks to the dual VVT system, a strong and harmonious torque curve is maintained in the mid RPM range. This makes the kit suitable for both sportily used street vehicles and performance-oriented track day and motorsport conversions.
More power at high RPMs
The modified timing and larger valve lift improve cylinder filling at high engine speeds. This allows the engine to process more air mass and better utilize its power potential in the upper RPM range.
By variably adjusting the intake and exhaust camshaft, the characteristics can be controlled in such a way that there is no significant torque loss in the mid RPM range.
The actual achievable additional power depends on engine condition, intake and exhaust system, compression, fuel supply, and engine tuning.

The camshafts are not compatible with the FAE engines. The exact engine code must therefore be clearly checked before ordering.
Use with the stock engine control unit
When using the stock engine control unit and maintaining the stock RPM limit, no additional components are required for the mechanical installation.
Depending on the vehicle configuration, a custom software tuning is recommended to optimally utilize the potential of the camshafts and control all operating parameters.
Use with programmable control unit
When using a programmable engine control unit, camshaft adjustment, ignition timing, and injection can be individually tuned to the new camshafts.
If the maximum engine RPM is raised beyond the stock rev limiter, reinforced valve springs must be used.
The stock valve springs are not designed for arbitrarily increased RPMs. Inappropriate valve springs can lead to uncontrolled valve movements and severe engine damage.

Important installation note
The installation involves the valve train and requires extensive knowledge in engine construction. The assembly must be carried out by a qualified engine specialist.
During installation, timing, valve clearance, clearance, and all distances must be checked according to the technical specifications. In particular, with modified cylinder heads, altered pistons, differing compression, or increased RPM limits, the mechanical clearance of the entire valve train must be checked.
After installation, the correct function of the VVT adjustment and all relevant engine parameters must be verified.
Important note
The camshafts alone do not generate a clearly defined increase in performance. The actual achievable result depends on the complete engine setup and an appropriately tuned engine control.
Changes to the valve train and engine tuning can affect the vehicle's operating permit. The legality for public road use must be checked before the modification.
