High Volume Expansion Tank for the Engine Cooling System – Lotus V6
The Pro Alloy High Volume Expansion Tank has been developed as a high-performance and durable replacement for the standard plastic tank of selected Lotus V6 models.
The tank volume increases from the standard approximately 1,000 ml to approximately 1,700 ml. The additional coolant volume increases the thermal reserve of the engine cooling system – a particular advantage in high ambient temperatures, frequent full-load operation, and on the racetrack.
At the same time, the pressure cap is increased from the standard 15.66 psi to 21 psi. This corresponds to an increase from approximately 1.08 to 1.45 bar and enhances the coolant's boiling point reserve.
Benefits
Increased tank volume from 1,000 to 1,700 ml
About 70% more volume compared to the standard tank
Additional thermal reserve of the cooling system
Increased pressure cap from 15.66 to 21 psi
Corresponds to approximately 1.08 to 1.45 bar

Important note
The installation involves the pressurized engine cooling system and should be carried out by a qualified specialist. After installation, the cooling system must be filled with suitable coolant, completely bled, and checked for tightness.
Before installation, the condition of all hoses, connections, and other components of the cooling system must be checked. The cap may only be opened when the engine is cool and depressurized.
