High-performance valve set for Toyota 2GR V6
The high-performance valve kit has been specifically designed for performance-optimized Lotus models with the Toyota 2GR-FE V6 engine. It increases the thermal and mechanical load capacity of the valve train and is particularly suitable for vehicles with increased engine power, frequent full-load operation, or regular track use.
The complete set includes all 24 valves of the engine: twelve hardened stainless steel intake valves and twelve high-temperature resistant Inconel exhaust valves.
The weak point of the stock valves
The stock valves of the Toyota 2GR-FE were originally developed for use in Toyota everyday vehicles. They reliably fulfill this task at stock engine performance and normal road use.
However, in performance-enhanced Lotus models or under sustained high load, combustion temperatures, RPMs, and mechanical stress significantly increase. In particular, the thermally highly stressed exhaust valves can reach their design limits.
A damaged or broken valve can lead to severe consequential damage to the piston, cylinder head, and combustion chamber.
Inconel exhaust valves for high temperatures
The twelve exhaust valves are made from high-temperature resistant Inconel. This material is particularly suitable for components that are permanently exposed to very high combustion and exhaust gas temperatures.
The Inconel version improves thermal load capacity and reduces the risk of material-related failure under high continuous load.
Hardened stainless steel intake valves
On the intake side, twelve valves made of hardened stainless steel are used. The optimized design combines high mechanical load capacity with reduced weight.
Compared to the standard component, the weight is reduced by about 5 g per intake valve. The lower moving mass relieves the valve train and improves its control at high RPM.
Hardened and friction-optimized surfaces
A special hardening process increases the resistance of the valve surfaces to mechanical wear.
The friction-optimized surface simultaneously reduces friction between the valve stem and valve guide. This supports smooth valve operation and reduces wear at high RPM and long load intervals.
More safety under high continuous load
The combination of hardened stainless steel intake valves and Inconel exhaust valves improves the load capacity of the entire valve train.
The risk of valve failure under high thermal and mechanical stress is significantly reduced. This creates additional safety reserves for performance-enhanced engines and demanding track use.

Plug-and-play version
The valves are dimensionally designed for the replacement of the stock components. Structural changes to the engine are generally not required with a stock cylinder head configuration.
The term plug-and-play refers to the structural compatibility. For installation, the cylinder heads must be removed and disassembled.
Important assembly note
The installation concerns the valve drive and may only be carried out by a qualified engine specialist.
Before assembly, valve seats, valve guides, springs, spring plates, and retaining wedges must be checked. Valve seat width, valve clearance, stem clearance, and tightness must be controlled according to the technical specifications and adjusted professionally if necessary.
For engines with modified camshafts, reinforced valve springs, machined cylinder heads, or increased maximum RPM, the complete mechanical clearance of the valve drive must also be checked.
Important Note
The high-performance valve kit improves the thermal and mechanical load capacity of the valve drive, but does not alone produce a defined increase in performance.
The actual possible engine power and stability depend on the complete engine setup, engine tuning, cooling, and the condition of all involved components.
