KOMO-TEC forged connecting rod set for Toyota 2GR-FE V6
The connecting rod forms the highly stressed connection between the piston and the crankshaft. With increasing engine power, higher RPMs, and increasing thermal stress, the tensile and compressive forces acting on this component grow significantly.
The factory connecting rods are known weak points of the Toyota 2GR-FE engine. Our experiences from track use show that even with stock engines, connecting rod failures can occur under intense track day stress. Such damage usually leads to a catastrophic engine failure.
To significantly reduce this risk, we have developed our own KOMO-TEC forged connecting rod set. The connecting rods are exclusively manufactured for us from high-strength forged steel and are specifically tailored to the demands of high-performance 2GR-FE supercharger and motorsport engines.
High-strength X-Beam design
The specially developed X-design combines high stiffness with a material-optimized construction. The targeted distribution of material allows for high load capacity with minimal moving mass.
Each connecting rod is supplied with high-strength ARP2000 connecting rod bolts. These ensure a reliable connection of the connecting rod foot and are designed for the high dynamic loads in high-performance and high-revving engines.
The KOMO-TEC forged connecting rod set has already been used hundreds of times and has proven itself in both performance-enhanced street vehicles and under demanding racetrack conditions.
For planned power increases over 460 HP, regular track day use, or as part of a performance-oriented engine overhaul, we recommend replacing the stock connecting rods.

Important installation note
Installation must be carried out by a qualified engine specialist. Before installation, the bearing dimensions, bearing clearances, crankshaft pins, and component weights must be checked.
The assembly, lubrication, and tightening specifications for the ARP2000 connecting rod bolts must be strictly adhered to. The stability of the entire engine also depends on proper assembly, the other engine components, and engine tuning.
