Ferodo DS Performance brake pads with KBA for Lotus Elise and Exige
The Ferodo DS Performance brake pads were developed for sporty street vehicles. They combine a medium friction coefficient with good controllability, improved response behavior, and high fade resistance.
The pad compound is particularly suitable for drivers who desire more thermal resilience and a sportier braking characteristic compared to a standard brake pad, while still wanting to use their vehicle in public road traffic.
Sporty street brake pad
The Ferodo DS Performance compound operates in a temperature range of approx. 100 to 500 °C. The consistent friction coefficient allows for well-controlled and predictable braking behavior.
Compared to a conventional standard brake pad, the DS Performance compound offers additional thermal reserves and improved fade stability during sporty driving.
With KBA street approval
The Ferodo DS Performance brake pads are delivered in a version with KBA street approval.
The approval applies exclusively to the vehicle and brake system variants listed therein. Therefore, before ordering and installation, it must be checked whether the specific vehicle and the actually installed brake caliper are covered by the respective approval scope.

For the standard 2-piston brake caliper of selected Lotus Elise and Exige four-cylinder models.

For the standard Brembo rear axle brake caliper of selected Lotus Elise and Exige four-cylinder models.

Important installation and break-in notice
Brake pads are safety-relevant components and must be installed by a qualified specialist.
Before installation, brake discs, brake calipers, guides, and fastening parts must be checked for condition and suitability. After installation, the brake pads must be bedded in according to the manufacturer's specifications.
Road approval requires use within the intended approval scope and with the approved brake system.
