A limited-slip differential provides you with optimized traction, sportier drive and improved braking performance of your Lotus. The Quaife Differential automatically biases the torque across the axle to the wheel with the most grip. Unwanted wheelspin and slip are greatly reduced, resulting in less understeer on front or four wheel drive machines and reduced oversteer on rear wheel drive vehicles. This is a performance benefit and increases the power output onto the asphalt.

In contrast to a Torsen-Differential the Quaife uses its own principle with helical gears. This keeps the temperature low and noises are quite low and quiet. Quaife never ‘locks,’ making it progressive, safe and user friendly. Also, this design ensures less material wear and thus for an extremely durable with low maintenance intensity.
