This long-tested phase also uses the cylinder head from Phase 3. Instead of the alloy inlet manifold we are fitting 42mm throttle bodies. The advantage of this installation in optimal efficiency as a result of the sports cam shafts, and high performance in every day use.
The system is easily recognizable by its unmistakable aspiration noise of the throttle bodies The engine's idle speed can be set superbly. Fuel injection and combustion can be adjusted individually. The power development is typical of a 4-valve engine.
Between 1500 and 3900 rpm the engine responds well but slightly reserved. Power then increases rapidly from 4000 rpm, reaches its peak at 7600 rpm and is finally limited by the rev limiter at 7900 rpm. The engine develops its typical dynamic temperament in this range.
A Komo-Tec Carbon Airbox with 40mm alloy trumpets is used to achieve the optimal response of the intake tract.
The entire system is individually tested and set-up on the dyno.
