The Honda K20A engine with its close ratio 6-speed gear box and lsd is certainly the non-plus-ultra solution for the Elise. With close to 240 hp and torque up to 9000 rpm, this engine provides not only the ultimate driving experience but also performance levels that are comparable to exotic super sports cars.

Our classic tuning phases for the Toyota engine of the Elise 111R/Exige MK 2 provide the possibility to improve power levels up to 210 hp (230 hp for the 2,0 liter version) without modifying the engine mechanics.

For the large community of owners of Elise MK1/MK2 with Rover engines, who wish to combine additional power with a smooth power curve and affordable costs, we offer our "Lotus Elise 2,3l Supertorque".

This concept with 190 hp at moderate 6500 rpm possesses impressive torque. At 3500 rpm the engine already has 195 Nm, which then increases continuously to 215 Nm at 5500 rpm. The capacity of 2,3litres of the Ford Duratec engine permits a power development which can normally only be found with larger engines. This modern and robust engine with its alloy engine block, 16 valves and two overhead cams is a "light weight" in comparison.

Relaxed driving at low revs combined with a steady power development across the entire revving range is main strength the of KOMO-TEC "Supertorque" concept. This is achieved without changing the standard engine; instead of a special inlet manifold and a 4:1 stainless steel exhaust collector are fitted. The coordination of the various parts is performed by a programmable ECU.

There are two versions available, the 200F Supertorque and the 230F Supertorque. The 230F Supertorque version contains, in addition to the modifications done under the 200F Version, forged pistons and steel con rods. As a result, the compression ratio is increased to 12:1, which leads to more power and torque whilst maintaining a high durability.
